Water Bottle:
Sketch from what I want the water bottle to look like. I didn't want a full wrap around, just a simple design on the front. The dimensions I figured out in class with the help of my classmates, but this was the information we were given: Diameter _____ x 3.14 = _____ - .5” = _____ Wrap (widest your image can be). Height of the printable area is 5”.

The file I thought saved with the, "On Wisconsin!" unfortunately didn't save. The text would have gone below the design as seen in the sketch. Since our hour was given red water bottles, the first thing I thought o was the badgers and I think it would look really good. I followed the same steps as shown on the Illustrator page for my key chain project. The biggest difference would be the set up of putting the water bottle in the laser. Also how we would have been taught to line up the laser, so that it could do a wrap design. Not on something that was flat. This is all in black because It is only supposed to engrave it.

Laser Cut 3D Dice:
This design was a file downloaded from Thingiverse. I would have sized the same as the created, of each dice being 1.5 inches or a little smaller. The biggest dimension we had to work with was 18x32.

Opposite sides should add up to 7. So 6 to 1, 5 to 2, and 3 to 4. This is what the final product would have looked like. The material would have been determined with what was offered.

Notebook:
I knew I wanted to have an ombre type of effect. I was unsure at first of what shape I wanted to use. I thought about using circles, but that wasn't enough of the look I wanted. So I went with stars because that was a design that I liked.

I followed the same steps as I did for the key chain, although the most frustrating part was the stars on the front page. This was difficult for me because the spacing drove e nuts. They all had to be centered in rows but also in columns. The one thing I couldn't figure out was the spacing between each of them, more so in the columns, the row spacing didn't bother me too much. What is outlined in red is cut out, and what is in black is engraved.

Summary Paragraph:
I am hoping I can change this paragraph after the current situation of the COVID-19 that has stopped us from going and being in actual school, the building and classrooms that is. That also means we as students are unable to have access to the innovation center where all of the machinery and tools are. I would have learned so much about how to transfer my ideas from the software to the laser. Regarding all three projects. I would have learned how to laser on a water bottle which isn't flat, and there is a whole process of how to set it up. I would have learned about the tool that is used to cut out holes for a notebook pad. I also would have learned how a design, like dice, can be printed into pieces to then be put together to make a 3D item/shape. What I did learn through this process though, even when things can get frustrating, there are a lot of people that I can reach out to get help. I learned that if I set my mind to the task at hand and push through the obstacles that I can achieve a lot.
